From Jun Takahashi’s Spring/Summer 2006 “T” collection, the “Klaus” Fishtail Parka represents a defining example of Undercover’s mid-2000s conceptual outerwear. The SS06 season introduced a series of fictional rock bands — including Klaus — forming a narrative framework where garments operated as imagined band merchandise, merging youth culture, music, and design fiction.
Rooted in the classic M-51 fishtail silhouette, the parka reinterprets military heritage through elongated proportions, adjustable drawstrings at the waist and hem, and a signature split fishtail back. Constructed from durable cotton, it balances structure and movement while integrating functional detailing as intentional design language. The extended body and controlled volume reflect Takahashi’s exploration of uniform dressing shaped by subcultural and Krautrock influences.
A collectible artifact from one of Undercover’s most conceptually layered periods.
